Radioactive Fallout traces the adventures of Katsuko as she gains her superpowers, battles supervillains and discovers her passion for science.
Radioactive Fallout turns real-life scientist, Katsuko Saruhashi, into a science superhero, superpowers and all.
Loosely based on Katsuko's life and incredible accomplishments, the Radioactive Fallout comic book traces the amazing adventures of young Katsuko as she gains her superpowers, battles supervillains and discovers her passion for science.
We've already launched a series of games, but our goal has always been to tell the story of these incredible science superheroes through comics. Comics are the perfect medium to learn more about science because they're fun, visual and have exciting, fast-paced plots!
Katsuko's research helped to stop above ground nuclear testing.
Who is Katsuko?
Dr Katsuko Saruhashi (1920–2007) was a Japanese biochemist. After World War II, the United States carried out nuclear tests in the Pacific Ocean. Katsuko's research helped reveal the spread of radioactive fallout from the testing and helped to stop above ground nuclear testing. During her career, Katsuko was elected to the Science Council of Japan and was awarded the Miyake Prize for geochemistry – among many other awards. She was deeply committed to inspiring young women to study science and fought to create space for women to work.

Backers!
Your copies are being shipped, some of you have already received them and we've got some very happy readers already! Those who haven't yet received the copies you should be getting them in the post soon.
The art work is finished and the files are with our printer. We are awaiting the mock/test copy this week to ensure the comic is ready for the full print run.
Thank you so much for your support, patience and encouragement over the last 9 months while we brought this dream to life. We couldn't have done it without you all!
We are making great progress on the comic but sadly due to COVID both at Remarkalbz HQ and with our artist in Brazil we've been a bit delayed. As a result we won't be able to deliver the comic in February but we are on track to deliver for the end of March. To mitigate any further potential delays we are taking on some additional help to get the comic out the door on time. I'll keep you all posted but fingers crossed we shouldn't experience any further delays.
In the meantime we wanted to share a little sneak preview of some drawings. Hope you enjoy!
It's been a busy few weeks, and we've been working hard with our talented partners at Dekko Comics on the draft outline of Radioactive Fallout. We've got a sneak preview for our backers over on Kickstarter - a sample of the 'rough sketches' that will eventually be transformed into the full colour final comic.
Following our successful Kickstarter campaign, we've been working hard on the comic book outline. We've got a little update for you and, in comic book fashion, we've put it into a comic strip for you.
Hi Everyone!
That's the Kickstarter finished! We made our goal and there are 250 copies of Radioactive Fallout pledged! I can't wait to catch up with our partners over at Dekko Comics to start work.
Our aim is to have the comic in production and shipped by Feb 2022. I'll be keeping you all posted here with updates and sneak previews so look out for our monthly updates!
Thanks again for supporting Team Remarkablz and Radioactive fallout! We couldn't have done this without you!
